- Choose a full time Realtor who has the TIME to commit to your needs. Look for a Realtor who is honest and will always tell the truth. I am a full time Realtor and my experience is that anyone who seems to know everything probably doesn't. What I don't know I WILL find out for you in a timely manner.
- Choose a Realtor who will ASK questions. These questions are the most efficient way to determine your needs. I will help you determine your needs by asking the proper questions. Sometimes these questions may be tough to answer but they are necessary to insure a proper understanding of your real estate needs.
- Choose a Realtor who is willing to LISTEN to you. Answering questions is of benefit to no one if no one is listening. After asking the questions I will CAREFULLY listen to your reply.
- Choose a Realtor with AREA knowledge. I have lived in Salida CO for over 35 YEARS and I have seen many changes. Some of these changes have been good and some have not.
- Choose YOUR Realtor and allow adequate TIME for the job to get done. Quality work takes time. A lot of a Realtors job is behind the scenes. I will work diligently to see that your goals are completed in a timely manner.
- Know WHAT you want. Compile a wants and needs list from everyone involved in the decision. Boil it down as much as possible but have a range of options that will work for you. If you change your mind after the process begins, just say so immediately. I understand the process can be confusing and plans can change. We will work through the process together.
- Do not WASTE time. If you are interested in our area learn all you need to know about it first. THEN make the decision whether or not to buy. I will be HAPPY to help you gather the information you need and share my area knowledge with you. All too often people put the cart before the horse and want to house shop first. This practice just wastes everyone's time.
- Build TRUST, its a two way street! Trust your Realtor and make sure he can trust you. Your Realtor will work hard for you provided you are loyal to him. No one wants to invest many hours of labor and lots of expenses into an effort only to find out your business partner was not loyal! Yes, WE ARE PARTNERS in the effort. Choose your Realtor partner carefully and stick with him like glue.
I am a member of the Multiple Listing Service. This allows me to provide you with information on, and sell you ANY listing in the area regardless of what company has the listing as well as much more effectively market and sell your current home. We are truly one stop shopping for all your real estate needs. I treat my customers the way I like to be treated. I have been through the buy/sell process myself before becoming a Realtor and I know how NOT to treat my customers. My business is built upon your good recommendation of my service to your friends and relatives.
- Have REALISTIC expectations for the property, the price, and the time required. Realtors perform a very valuable service but we can not magically close transactions. Your dream home may not be on the market for the price you are able to pay or there may not be a buyer for the home you currently own at the price you want to sell for. A lot of things influence the time needed to buy or sell real estate. Some of these are price, location, the amount of available inventory, interest rates, the economy, the time of year and even the weather!
I WORK HARD to put buyers and sellers together. I maintain a customers needs list. I provide a home warranty for my listings that helps sell your home faster and at a higher price. I will place your property on many web sites as well as providing more traditional advertising.
- Choose BOB BURKART.
As YOUR REALTOR. I won't let you down!
